The SHSAT (Specialized High School Admissions Test) is taken by kids who are hoping to get into New York City’s elite public schools. The SHSAT changed in 2017 and is changing again in 2018. Students have 180 minutes to answer 114 questions of math (57), reading (37), and grammar (20). While most kids focus on Stuyvesant and Bronx Science, there are many other excellent schools which use this test, including Lehman and Brooklyn Tech.
